District Director STEFAN JENSSEN, DTM

Stefan has been an eager Toastmasters for 7 years now in Mutual Toasters Club. He has served in 3 club officer roles, President, VP Education, and VP Membership and served as an Area Director and Division Director in District 62. He earned his DTM through the legacy program and is on his way to a pathways DTM. He currently holds a leadership position in the personal lines department within Hastings Mutual Insurance Company. In his spare time he spends time playing soccer with his niece, working out and traveling with his wife. 

HIs leadership style has been described as democratic. Stefan believes in getting everyone’s input before making decisions. He welcomes everyone and enjoys working, playing or studying with people whenever the opportunity arises. He leads with trust and compassion and is eager to provide support to everyone to achieve a successful Toastmasters year.

Kimberly Lynn

Kim joined Toastmasters in 2015 as a charter member of the Zoetis Toastmasters Club in Kalamazoo to further build her speaking and presentation skills for work. 

“Toastmasters has been instrumental in giving me the confidence to effectively communicate and lead in both my professional and personal life.  Over the years, I have eagerly taken on new opportunities, expanding my comfort zone.”

· Club Coach for the Stryker Toastmasters Club (2019-2021) and helping the club obtain Distinguish status for the 2020-2021 Toastmaster year

· Area 8 Director managing a team of five clubs in the Kalamazoo area for the 2020-2021 Toastmaster year

· Conference Co-Chair the District’s first Virtual District Conference in April 2021

Club Growth Director OWEN MONDAY

Owen Monday Jr is the current W Division Director for District 62.  He joined Toastmasters in October 2017 and his home club is Secondary to None. He has held the positions of Area Director and VP Public Relations.

“Together we can build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence. We all play a role in helping each other build ourselves up through words of encouragement to strengthen self-belief to become better.  I want to continue to be a strong, able-bodied District Leader who will stand alongside other Toastmasters to encourage, empower and create strong clubs. We will achieve our goals by being open to constructive criticism, having open flows of communication, and constant self-reflection of our own body of work.”

C Division Director NYRHE ROYAL

Nyrhe joined Toastmasters in April 2015. Her home Club is Regulatory Ramblers and she is currently serving as Area Director. She has also held positions as Club President, VP Membership, and Treasurer.

“I have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.  I have been a State of Michigan employee since 2006. I have been part of the District 62 leadership team as an Area Director since 2021.    

E Division Director PAUL THEISEN

Paul joined Toastmasters in 2003, as a member of Club 5652 Tuesday Talkers. He is currently a member of three clubs based in the Midland area and has served as VP Education, VP Membership, Club President, and VP Education. He has served as Area 15 Director for the past two years. Paul has achieved ACG and CL (Legacy Program) and PW2 for Dynamic Leadership. He retired as a chemical engineer after 35+ years at Dow, after graduating from the University of Michigan in December 1985. He is married with two daughters. He is a big fan of all Detroit and Michigan sports teams!

S Division Director TARA MCCOY-JONES

Tara joined Toastmasters to improve her communication skills and discovered her leadership abilities were sharpened through participation in the club experience and Pathways program. Seven plus years later, she has remained in the organization because of the fun she has while interacting with diverse people.  She’s held various leadership roles at the club level and has served as the Area 6 Director twice. Tara works as the Lead Instructional Designer at a University where she also teaches various courses.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years, exercising, reading, and watching historical and science fiction films. 

As the 2022-2023 S Division Director, her goal is to support the Area Directors and clubs in the S Division while developing new growth opportunities for District 62.

W Division Director JAMES LEMKE

James Lemke

James has been a Toastmaster Member since June 2018 and has previously served in the role of Vice President of Membership in the Speaking of Banking Club with Fifth Third Bank. In the 2020-2021 TM Year, James was provided with the opportunity to serve as Area 02 Director, and was also provided the opportunity to serve as a Club Coach. James has also volunteered for two consecutive years as a Coordinator in the Youth Leadership Program. James is currently serving as the Area 17 Director for the 2021-2022 Toastmaster Year; and had the distinct privilege to serve as Co-Chair for the District 62 2022 Conference. James was also the District 62 Hall of Fame Spirit of Success award recipient for the 2020-2021 TM Year. Now he is looking forward to serving District 62 as the W Division Director. He is also looking for new and creative ways to engage with and inspire all members in the W Division; As well as keeping the Area Directors on his team and their Clubs at the center of his focus with everything that he does. James is currently a Club Member with The Law of Attraction Toastmasters Club and the West Michigan Advanced Club.
