Club Growth Director

Douglas Brinker DTM cgd@62toast.com

Once an introvert, I discovered Energizers Toastmasters from 1991-97, and Power #1080, 1997-99, After a 12 year hiatus I returned in 2011. In April 2013, I joined C Division Advanced Speakers to get stronger evaluations. Starting my 18th year with Toastmasters I owe so much since joining. CDAS In 2013, my story was published in the Heart of a Toastmaster Book, which is a dream come true. My personal 2019-20 Toastmaster goals are to achieve DTM which I have submitted. C Division Advanced Speakers has given that platform to grow my voice inside out. My evaluations have strengthend because of CDAS. "Honored to Serve, Serving to Honor."

Administration Manager

Public Relations Manager

I joined Toastmasters in February, 2016 because I wanted to learn how to feel comfortable speaking in public and talking about my new art business called ArtistEntrepreneurs.org. Since then I have given speeches to large and small groups, recorded webinars for online distribution and held workshops for artists who are interested in learning what I know about the "business of art." Toastmasters has helped me to become comfortable in any environment and to take on leadership positions with success. I had no idea how far Toastmasters would take me and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to learn and grow with the encouragment of fellow professionals. For the Toastmaster year of 2019-2020, I was awarded Toastmaster of the Year after taking on many leadership roles at the district level.

Immediate Past District Director

Laura St. Louis DTM, DL5, SR5 ipdd@62toast.com

I joined Toastmasters in January of 2015 because I wanted to learn to be a leader. I started with one club, then added a second. The members of this club are the people that have been my biggest supporters and encouraged me to take the leap and run for Club Growth Director. I then propelled to District Director in 2020. They don't just provide leadership support. They also provide excellent evaluations. The feedback I receive from them has been invaluable. If you are looking to advance your speaking skills, this is the place.

James Lemke area17@62toast.com

I have been a Toastmaster Member since June 2018 and have previously served in the role of Vice President of Membership in the Speaking of Banking Club with Fifth Third Bank. In the 2020-2021 TM Year I was provided with the opportunity to serve as Area 02 Director and I was also provided the opportunity to serve as Club Coach for The Law of Attraction Toastmasters Club. I have also volunteered as a Coordinator in the Youth Leadership Program to interns through the Fifth Third Bank partnership with Project SEARCH. I am currently serving as the Area 17 Director for the 2021-2022 Toastmaster Year; I am also serving as Co-Chair for the District 62 2022 Conference. I was also the District 62 Hall of Fame Spirit of Success award recipient for the 2020-2021 TM Year. The reason why I made the decision to join the West Michigan Advanced Club is because I wanted to continue to grow and develop, not only as a public speaker and a presenter, but also as a leader both personally and professionally. I am truly looking forward to my time here and I am truly looking forward to my future as a Toastmaster.
