He has been a Toastmaster for over 10 years, and is a prolific author and blogger specializing in information technology issues. Bruce has been a Toastmasters member for 35 years. He has served in every club officer role at least once, every elected District Officer position, and served on the Toastmasters International Board of Directors from 1995–97.
An engineer by education, his career outside of Toastmasters includes several progressive leadership and management roles where he worked. He has also served on various community and city government boards.
Born and raised in South Dakota, he has lived in Michigan for 37 years. He is married to Tammie and they have 2 grown children. He enjoys college football in general and is a diehard Western Michigan University fan.

I have been a Toastmaster Member since June 2018 and have previously served in the role of Vice President of Membership in the Speaking of Banking Club with Fifth Third Bank. In the 2020-2021 TM Year I was provided with the opportunity to serve as Area 02 Director and I was also provided the opportunity to serve as Club Coach for The Law of Attraction Toastmasters Club. I have also volunteered as a Coordinator in the Youth Leadership Program to interns through the Fifth Third Bank partnership with Project SEARCH. I am currently serving as the Area 17 Director for the 2021-2022 Toastmaster Year; I am also serving as Co-Chair for the District 62 2022 Conference. I was also the District 62 Hall of Fame Spirit of Success award recipient for the 2020-2021 TM Year. The reason why I made the decision to join the West Michigan Advanced Club is because I wanted to continue to grow and develop, not only as a public speaker and a presenter, but also as a leader both personally and professionally. I am truly looking forward to my time here and I am truly looking forward to my future as a Toastmaster.
